The Society of Licensed Conveyancers

Bio

The Society of Licensed Conveyancers (SLC) was established in February 1988 to act as the professional body to represent the interests of Licensed Conveyancers in England and Wales.

It is independent of but maintains good relations with the Council for Licensed Conveyancers (CLC) and is governed by an elected board of Directors.

What was the scenario before you started working together?

In 2013, the SLC decided to open its membership to Solicitors and Legal Executives who can join as Associates and enjoy all the benefits of membership. This was also hosted in a physical setting and due to the pandemic, they needed to reach their members in a virtual way.

So, the SLC Association was first introduce to us by one of our strategic partners Mrs Rachel Oates who is a specialist in marketing, and they wanted to speak to ourselves as they normally place their events into their calendar per annum but decided to bring their 2020 SLC Conference online.

What were their goals?

The SLC recruited our services as they had little knowledge on the technology side of an online conference and required knowledge, confidence, and support in this area; to ultimately provide them with peace of mind.

As their goals for the conference were to ensure all members felt valued, were informed correctly by our speakers, sponsors, and exhibitors and that their members quailed for CPD points as this event was being accredited for those who attended and participated.

Why did they choose to work with you?

We believed they choose to work with ourselves because of our relationship with our strategic partners and following the conference our client said:

“Having worked with Zoe on a virtual 3-day conference, I would definitely recommend her to work with. Great attention to detail and extremely thorough. Reliable, efficient and gets the job done.“

What was the process?

Before we started on the project, we liaised with our referral contact to ensure we delivered and painted the picture best for the client, with this being their first online event.

I was then able to speak with the client directly and all parties who were bringing this event together as I was solely employed to run the event and provide tech support to all participants.

In reference to the service, we provided was solely to support their in-house team with their event objectives to ensure the agenda was completed on time and on budget. Including such services as dry run support; on the day management, member surveys, tech support and follow up.

What were the results?

To show an example of how well received this support was by participants please refer to the following diagram on the participant feedback after the full conference was complete:
