In business we see a lot of individuals who have done the training to improve their marketing strategy with great success.

However, strategy is nothing without implementation and this is something that is not built overnight but best broken down into manageable sections to ensure that, what we are learning is being implemented in the correct way for the best results.

How to ensure you implement what you have learned?

According to work – learn – research in the past decade: people do NOT remember 10% of what they read, 20% of what they see, 30% of what they hear.

So, this is an important stat to remember when working with individuals or groups; that everyone learns in their own way, but the majority require support in implementation after the self-development has taken place.

Now, self-development can be one of many things. Whether this be group workshops, training seminars, webinars or learning from YouTube or the worldwide web. Self-development does not need to be expensive but as the saying goes from James Freeman Clarke:

‘Strong convictions proceed great actions.’

Therefore, it is important to ensure that when time is booked aside for self-development, we need to ensure we are taking the same time aside to implement.

As did you know, that 95% of the information that we take in on a daily basis is forgotten in 3 days and after six days the remaining 5% of this statistic is reduced even further to a 1-2% of businesses implementing what they have learnt; purely because they have spent time on self-development but little or none on implementation.

Meaning if we conduct training to a room of 100 individuals only 1 -2 of these attendees will implement what they have learnt. So, we ask the question ‘Why don’t we implement more in our sectors or businesses?’.

The reason is: ‘That most businesses believe the formula takes more time than the implementation, when in fact as the saying goes if you know where you are going you will get there a lot quicker as we refer to in our newest video series discussing the C.A.R (competitor analysis research) model’.

This is why we have identified and agreed with articles such as: 94 mind blowing strategy execution stats, that there is a huge improvement to be made when it comes to strategy against implementation.

So, in conclusion ….

Remember learning and implementing go hand in hand, you can’t implement something you haven’t learnt, but you also can’t expect your business to grow and be better when you’re trying to implement something you haven’t learnt properly.
